Ok, time for a 'my next car' update...

Well, as I've been known to do from time to time concerning automobiles I changed my mind again.  In an effort to go for uniqueness, style and speed I have decided the Aston Martin DB9 fits the bill quite well for me.  This car's shape is as perfect for me as they come, I love the 2+2 GTs with a long nose and wide stance...

Well, I found another dream car to put on my list...  I'm not too up to snuff on all the details but I think it's coming to the US next year and it's fast!

    Lotus dreams...

For as long as I can remember (well at least since 1984) I have been a huge fan of the Lotus Esprit. The wedge shape, exotic looks and sheer speed of this car have always captured my interest. When I "grew up" and could probably afford a used one I did a lot of reading about them and realized it would not be a wise investment, they cost a lot of money to keep running and require a ton of TLC... probably not the best car for a daily driver. Lately I have become a huge fan of BMW, especially the inline 6 motor; I think it is the perfect blend of power and efficiency (runs smoother and stronger than a 4 banger and not as gas happy as a V8). My M3 is about the perfect car for me, I can fit the entire family in it, it gets about 25 MPG on average and it can get up and go when it needs to. It is still lacking that exotic flair though so in my mind I have this vision of one day getting a mid-90s esprit with a blown engine and dropping an e46 BMW M3 engine in it. I'm not sure the inline 6 will even fit in the lotus but I say where there is a will there is a way. That takes it from the 264 HP of the Lotus 4 banger to 333 HP of the BMW inline 6 which I'm sure could be beefed up to 400 HP pretty easily. Interestingly enough I was just reading that the 2007 Lotus Esprit will be powered by a BMW V8.
